The Opportunity at ECI Careers:

ECI has an exciting opportunity for a Security Ops Center Associate, responsible for analyzing and responding to network security events. In this role, you will be involved in threat actor-based investigations, directing new detection methodologies, and providing 1st level support to incident response and monitoring functions. Additionally, you will proactively monitor and respond to known or emerging threats against the network.

What you will do at ECI Careers:

  • Proactively monitor and respond to known or emerging threats against the network.
  • Conduct threat actor-based investigations using SIEM, EDR, Email gateway, and direct new detection methodologies.
  • Provide 1st level support to incident response and monitoring functions.
  • Investigate and triage events, escalating as appropriate, and differentiate false positives from true intrusion attempts.
  • Document and present findings on security incidents and investigations.
  • Collaborate with the team to mitigate and counteract threats.
  • Perform email analysis and categorize emails based on verdicts.
  • Stay updated with the latest security trends and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including Lines of Business, technology specialists, customers, and vendors.
  • Continuously improve knowledge around information security and identify/prevent phishing attempts.

Who you are at ECI Careers:

  • Minimum 0 – 1 year of experience in the IT industry, preferably in a SOC environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics Engineering, M.C.A. or equivalent University degree.
  • Certifications: CCNA, CEH, CHFI.
  • Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewall, VPN, EDR, AV, and other security products.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP network traffic and event log analysis.
  • Understanding of ITIL disciplines like Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Willingness to work in a job involving 24/7 operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
